You’ve made it this far! Go ahead and give us a shout or send us an email and let’s talk some more about your big day! This will be a once in a lifetime day and we want to help make sure that the story of your day is given the creative justice it deserves!
Jay and Sandi aren’t in your budget? No problem! Pricing for Associate Photographers starts at $3500.
What are your prices and what is included?
We don’t list out all of the pricing options because we customize collections for each of our couples to match exactly what they are looking for. There is a lot more that goes into providing a price than just knowing the hours that you need us. Since every client’s wedding is unique, offering a set list of packages just doesn’t make sense to us. For that reason alone, we don’t have set package prices to list or send in an email when requested. Instead, we prefer to talk on the phone or meet in-person getting to know our clients and learn all about their wedding day plans before coming up with a price. With that being said, most of our clients do end up purchasing a package somewhere in the ballpark of $4500-$7000.
How do we lock in our date?
To lock in your date requires a retainer fee and a signed contract. Unfortunately we cannot hold a date until we have BOTH of these and it is first come, first serve, as we shoot a limited number of weddings per year.
What does the payment schedule look like?
Our payment schedule is very simple to hopefully be one less thing for our brides to be stressed out about. We require a $30% retainer upfront at the time that the contract is signed. The remaining balance isn’t due until 1 month prior to the wedding date.
Once the contract is signed, all of our clients are invited to create a profile on our online portal. This gives them access to their contract, package details, questionnaires, invoices, payments made/remaining, as well as a few other important details.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept debit cards, credit cards, and checks.
Do you have insurance?
We are fully insured and happy to provide your venue with an insurance certificate upon request.
Will there be a 2nd photographer?
Although there are some options to exclude a 2nd, which we do on occasions to work with couples budgets, 99% of the time we have a 2nd Photographer with us. Jay and Sandi always shoot together unless other arrangements are made with the client prior to the wedding.
How many images will we receive?
Typically couples will receive an average of 50 images per hour of coverage they have. It is very important for us to tell the story of your wedding day in a way that does justice to such an important day. We find that this range of images allows us to capture everything that tells your story and gives us the ability to be creative with the moments that you will cherish forever.
*If purchasing all of the images is something that you would like to do, we offer them at an additional cost of $1200. The additional images that aren’t included in the contracted 50 per hour come in JPEG form and are unedited.
Are the images we received edited?
Yes! All the images you receive are edited and ready for print! We’ve spent a lot of time developing a unique editing process that gives our photos a very pleasing look. Additional editing which includes skin smoothing, blemish removal, etc. is included with all photos selected to be included in the album as well as any prints or wall art.
Do we receive a copyright release?
We only offer a copyright release on the delivered images for the packages that have an album included. For very good reason, we prefer to be the ones providing the prints, canvases, and albums. Our clients spend a lot of money to have us capture their memories for them, we would never want to see those memories printed on anything other than quality products. We would hate to see our client’s photographs printed by Walmart or Target. We offer lifetime guarantees on all of our prints and the highest quality products on the market, which you can see first hand in our South Jersey studio.
We also have copyrights to the images, as per our contract, and that is mainly for marketing purposes. Our business is based on our ability to market the photos that we take and show them off to potential clients. All of our clients have the rights to copy the images and share them on social media, we simply ask that you give us credit. If you receive an album in your package along with the copyrights and high-resolution images, you also receive a print release when requested.
Do you offer videography?
Unfortunately, we do not offer videography services at this time, although it is in the works. For now, we do have a couple videographer teams that we highly recommend because of their artistry and work ethic. Please take a look at our Recommended Vendor List.
How much time do you recommend we leave for pictures?
Great question! So much so we built an entire separate page to help you out here, so be sure to check it out – WEDDING DAY TIMELINE HELP
What if catastrophe strikes and you can't be there the day of my wedding?
Knock on wood that this never happens….
If it does, we have an extremely talented group of photographers being sub-contracted through the Twisted Oaks Studio which is only getting bigger. We also have a strong network made of some of the best wedding photographers who are all there for each other at moments notice, no questions asked. We even have a Facebook group for it!
What equipment do you use?
We use a wide variety of professional grade equipment ranging from Canon, to Profoto, to Nikon, to Leica. We are lucky enough to have some of the best camera companies in the industry support us and make sure that we always have everything we need, including the latest and greatest equipment on the market. We always have everything we need to get the image we imagine in our heads! We also have enough backups available to shoot 3-4 weddings at once, so no worries there.
Owner/Photography Jay is an Ambassador for Leica, so he shoots all of his work on Leica cameras and lenses. A couple other photographers on the team also shoot with Leica equipment.
How long will it take us to receive our images
It typically takes 6-8 weeks to finish a wedding and have your gallery online and ready for you to view. In 2018 our goal is to get that down to 3-4 weeks 🙂
Do you have wedding albums
Yes of course!!! Click HERE to see how impressive they are!
We shoot every wedding with the mindset of creating the most beautiful album for our clients. We love to build wedding albums as there is nothing like reliving your day through prints, especially the Twisted Oaks albums that are custom made by our album company just for our clients. All of our albums are custom designed and then handmade by one of the best suppliers in the industry, who of course backs-up the build quality for the life of your album!
How do you protect our files?
We are extremely paranoid and careful with each and every photo we take, both edited and unedited. Within 24 hours of photographing any wedding, we have the files backed up and stored in 4 different locations, including very high-level cloud storage. All of our primary cameras shoot to two memory cards providing immediate backup. Once we are home or back at the studio, all files are uploaded onto our primary physical RAID storage system. While uploading is in process, the files are automatically copied onto our cloud storage. Our associate sub-contracted photographers all have this same setup at their homes which we provide to them. Once the images are fully edited and delivered to our clients, the images are then moved to a secure storage system at the studio, as well as an offsite storage facility. We didn’t cut any corners when it came to backup and safely storing our client’s memories. The bottom line is that we go to extremes to protect your files.
Do you offer Engagement Sessions?
Yes we do :)! They are often included or discounted so just let us know that is something you would like to do.
How long are the engagement sessions and how many images do we receive?
Engagement sessions typically last about 45 minutes to an hour and you will receive 30-50 fully edited images in a private online gallery.
