What would you consider your style of boudoir photography to be?
We prefer to shoot our boudoir sessions with all natural light, which plays a big role in our “style”. Our style would be considered very natural, artistic, creative, moody, and sexy. We wouldn’t consider our style to be light and airy at all, but you can get a very good idea of our style from our portfolio.
How do I schedule a session?
We love to speak with all of our clients prior to booking. Getting to know a little bit about you and what you want to get out of the photo session is a big part of how we run our business. If you like our style of boudoir photography and are considering a session, please shoot us an email at info@twistedoaksstudio.com and we can schedule a time to chat on the phone or via Skype.
To officially book a session, we simply require a $500 deposit and we send you an online contract to review and sign.
Where do the sessions take place?
We prefer to do the sessions in our Twisted Oaks studio, which provides some really excellent natural light and a number of different options as far as furniture goes. The studio has white brick walls as you can see in the portfolio images, and we are able to do a number of different setups depending on your personal style. With that being said, if you prefer to do the shoot in the comfort of your own home, we can discuss that option as well. If your home is within 30 minutes of drive time, there won’t be any additional charge.
Who will be shooting my session?
Cecilia Grace is our studio’s primary boudoir photographer. Jay and Sandi, the owners of Twisted Oaks Studio also shoot boudoir sessions for their wedding clients, and are available upon request.
Can I bring a friend with me?
It’s not a problem at all to bring a friend with you to help you feel more comfortable. If the shoot is done in our studio, we just ask that it only be one friend.
Do you provide outfits or do I need to bring my own?
We don’t provide outfits, but we are more than happy to assist with choosing outfits of your own.
Will my images be kept private?
Twisted Oaks take your privacy very serious. Boudoir sessions are 100% private, and it is our goal to make or clients feel extremely comfortable with us managing their photos. Any images that you see on our website or social media are being used with the client’s written permission.
We have two different boudoir contracts. One that is very clear on being private and exclusive to the client and another that gives us the rights to use the images in our portfolio like you see here. We were given legal permission to use all of the images in our portfolio by our models for marketing purposes.
Will the images be fully edited that I receive?
Boudoir clients are given a private online gallery of 20-30 images, all of which are given a basic edit with the Twisted Oaks unique editing process. If you purchased the top collection, and are receiving an album, any images selected for the album will be eligible for additional editing.
If you purchased the 2nd collection, the additional editing will only be available without charge on any images that are chosen for print orders or an album.
Additional editing is available for all other images at a rate of $20 per image.
What if I don't have any idea what I'm doing when it comes to doing a shoot like this? Will the photos still come out good?
Unless you have had modeling experience, this is completely normal for you to worry about. Most of our clients have no experience with boudoir photography, and making you feel comfortable and relaxed is our goal. It is our jobs to make you feel comfortable, relaxed, sexy, and most importantly… look your best. Feeling anxious and nervous before a boudoir shoot is absolutely normal, and we do our best to put those nerves to rest pretty quickly. We want you to trust us, have confidence in us to make you look your best, and in return… we will deliver images that will blow your mind.
