Kelly and Brett’s Terrain Wedding in Devon was absolutely beautiful. The way associate photographers Angela and Ben captured the true emotion, including this beautiful bride’s smile, throughout the day was perfection.  You will definitely notice the love and emotion while scrolling through.  For Angela this was her first time shooting at the new Terrain and she fell in LOVE. Before arriving at the venue Angela, Ben, and the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. made a quick detour and stopped at Jenkins Arboretum for their first look and portraits. It was absolutely stunning and an amazing backdrop which produced some really breathtaking images. Angela and Ben did an awesome job as always and we cannot wait to shoot a gorgeous Terrain Wedding again.

Associate photographer Cecilia met up at one of our favorite spots to shoot, The Historic Batsto Village.  From the beginning of Twisted Oaks career, Batsto has always been on the top of our location list for engagement shoots, and Cecilia proved exactly why.  Liz and Ryan aka Norm did an amazing job taking a chance and pushing forward with their shoot even though it had been raining on and off all day, and boy did it pay off.  The rain stopped just in time for their shoot but left behind some insane clouds and a gorgeous sky.  This is the exact reason we never like to cancel sessions.  Awesome job Cecilia and this will definitely not be the last time we shoot at The Historic Batsto Village.  We cannot wait for the big day for these two!!

Talk about a cute couple!  Colleen and Ed are just that and associate photographers Angela and Nicole did an amazing job capturing their beautiful wedding at The Grove at Centerton.  Beauty and love just poured out of these two and Colleen’s gorgeous long veil was a showstopper especially when the wind would catch it in just the right way.  One of Angela’s favorite parts of the day was when Colleen and her Dad broke out in a custom dance with props and everything.  This was definitely a fun wedding and The Grove at Centerton was the perfect venue.  Congrats once again to the newlyweds and wonderful job once again Angela and Nicole.

This was one unique and awesome Coney Island engagement session for the gorgeous Daniella and Brian.  Associate photographer Cecilia really created some special imagery by utilizing the charm and quirky scenery Coney Island has to offer.  From the INSANE artwork that surrounded them to visiting the delicious Nathan’s or the famous Ruby’s Bar and Grill on the boardwalk to ending it at the serene Coney Island Beach.  Not only are these images vibrant and lively just like you envision Coney Island, but they are romantic and intimate at the same time.  Fabulous job Cecilia on this Coney Island engagement session, we cannot wait until the BIG day to see these two beautiful people once again.

Jay and Sandi had a pretty good idea of what the Mountain Top Venue was going to look like weeks before we arrived for Cary and Kelly’s Vermont destination wedding. Since Cary is a talented wedding photographer himself, he had made several trips up to the venue during the months leading up the wedding. Each time sending plenty of pics for them to see. As they drove up to the Mountain Top Inn on the morning of Cary and Kelly’s wedding, the first thing that came to their mind was that the photos they had seen simply did not do this place justice. It was from that moment on that their goal was simple. They were going to do everything they could to capture Cary and Kelly’s wedding in a way that showed off just how beautiful this place was since that was the main reason they chose the Mountain Top Inn to get married at.

Cary and Jay first me at one Jay’s workshops and the two of them have been friends ever since. Once engaged, Cary had a pretty good idea that Jay and Sandi were going to be the ones to photograph his wedding. He introduced them to Kelly and it became an even easier decision as the two of them fell in love with the engagement photos that Jay and Sandi captured for them. Due to running the studio, Jay and Sandi only take on a handful of destination weddings per year but this was far from a tough decision. Even though it was a 6-hour drive they had been looking forward to this wedding from the moment they booked it.

Jay and Sandi drove up the night before the wedding, stayed at an AirBnB only minutes from the Mountain Top Inn. As they drove up the venue the next morning they couldn’t help but think about how lucky they are to call this work. It was easily one of the most picturesque looking landscapes they had seen on the East Coast, and the ceremony location couldn’t have been any prettier. The arbor was set in a field with a beautiful lake and forest green mountain range just behind it as a backdrop. The weather was perfect, the sun was out, and the entire day couldn’t have gone any more perfect than it did. The day was filled with emotional moments that filled everyone’s eyes with tears of joy to moments of laughter that left us with memories that will surely last many years to come.

We couldn’t be happier for the new Mr. and Mrs. McCaughey and couldn’t be more thankful that the two of them chose Twisted Oaks to be the ones to capture their big day.
