This past October 5th, Jaimie and David got married at the Brandywine Manor House which was the first time we’ve been back since December 21st of 2017. It’s pretty crazy how much of a difference three months can make when choosing the time of year to get married. The Brandywine Manor House in Chester County PA is one of those rustic farm venues with a ton of property to roam around on your big day. Getting to see it in the dead of winter as well as in the Fall just as the leaves are starting to change really showed us its versatility. Although we’ve only been there twice now, they’ve quickly become one of our favorite barn weddings in PA and NJ.
[Brandywine Manor House Winter Wedding]
Showing up to a venue that you’ve shot at in the past to have it look nothing at all like it did the last time makes it a lot like shooting there for the first time. While this might throw some photographers off, Sandi and I couldn’t have been happier to see how different and beautiful it looked when we arrived that morning. Since we got to know Jaimie and David and spend some time with them during their engagement shoot we knew that they had complete trust in us documenting their day and that we had full artistic freedom, exactly how we like it. We learned very quickly while taking their engagement photos that a photojournalistic approach would fit them better when taking their wedding photos, which is exactly what we did.
[3 BIG Reasons To Get Engagement Photos]
Jaimie and David made us feel like family the entire day and it didn’t take long for the bridal party to make us feel like we had known them for years. A lot of times a bridal party can hold back from acting like themselves knowing that they have cameras pointed at them and their every move is being captured and frozen in time. This bridal party helped Jaimie and David make this wedding one hell of a party and one that we had a blast photographing which you’ll see below. This was easily one of our favorite weddings in 2019 for a lot of reasons, and we’ve been looking forward to showing it off. Scrolling through the images below will make you not only fall in love with the Brandywine Manor House, but it will make you want to invest in Whiteclaw stock and wear your sunglasses upside down at the next wedding you attend. Ok, maybe everything but the last part, but either way you’ll have a blast just looking through these.
